Crawford Reservoir, which has good fishing for trout, perch, and pike, is less than ten minutes away, and Crystal Creek has good small-stream trout fishing only a couple of miles from the property.

The fields are planted in smooth brome and mountain grasses, and produce good grass/alfalfa hay. The majority of the property is in pasture, with the remainder in sagebrush with a smattering of oak brush, pinyon, and juniper.
